Salted House marks a different kind of arrival in Lagos — one of Portugal's most charismatic coastal towns. Set a few streets above the marina, the apartment sits among the everyday life of the town: pastelarias, palm-lined avenues, and the walk down to golden cliffs.
The building is ordinary Algarve. The inside is not. The renovation introduces colour, tactility and play — emerald dining chairs, a tomato-red day bed, terracotta basins under matte black fittings — set against raw microcement and warm tile that let the town's light do its work.
Across two bedrooms, two bathrooms and two balconies, the apartment unfolds at a measured pace. An open living room anchors the plan, a bar-height balcony overlooks the street's palms, and the old town, the marina and Praia do Camilo are all within a short walk.
The details are practical where they need to be: proper air conditioning, fast Wi-Fi, a kitchen made for actual cooking and enough storage to unpack rather than live from a case. Both bedrooms are generous doubles, so nobody draws the short straw.
Mornings begin with coffee on the balcony and the sound of Lagos waking below. Beach afternoons can become long dinners at home, while evenings in the old town are close enough to reach on foot and far enough away to leave behind.
Rooted in Lagos and unmistakably itself, Salted House blends neighbourhood life with the ease of a proper hotel stay — run by hoteliers who live here.

An open, colour-blocked room for long lunches, slow evenings and putting your feet up.
