Cliff paths, small beaches, old stones and one very long stretch of sand. Start walking.
Walk the headland above the rock formations, then see the caves properly from a small boat. Go early or at sunset.
01 / Headland
Golden rock towers, clear water and one of the Algarve views people remember. Walk the boardwalk above it first, then take a small boat if you want the caves and arches at water level.
02 / Cove
A small, photogenic beach reached by the timber staircase everyone photographs on the way down. It is sheltered and beautiful, which also means it rewards an early start.
03 / Town
Old walls, tiled facades, little squares and the rhythm of a town that still works as a town. Wander without over-planning it, then let a cafe table become the destination.
04 / Sand
The long beach. Nearly five kilometres means room to walk, swim, read, disappear into the afternoon and still not feel boxed in by everyone else's towel.
05 / Boats
Cross the footbridge for boats, breakfast, coffee and the easy starting point for coast trips. It is practical Lagos, but still very much Lagos.
06 / Cliffs
Follow the path south from town and let the view keep changing. The route is simple, the cliffs do the theatre, and proper shoes help more than ambition.
